Christ Ahnsahnghong – Guilty by Association
Christ Ahnsahnghong and the fallacy of guilt by association
Many of the websites that speak negatively about Christ Ahnsahnghong and the World Mission Society Church of God use the same logic, that logic is “guilty by association.” Guilt by association is defined as an inductive informal fallacy, which is also known as a hasty generalization. Pretty much, if it quacks like a duck and walks like a duck, it’s a duck, and anything that comes from that same country, is also a duck! This fallacy is made as an appeal to emotion and is not based on facts.
Some examples of guilt by association are as follows:
- Peter is a criminal. Peter is from California. Therefore, all the people from California are criminals.
- Tom, John, Chris, and Will are all friends of Ray, and they are all corrupt politicians. Tammy is a friend of Ray. Therefore, Tammy is a corrupt politician.
2,000 years ago Jesus was a victim of this fallacy. When Jesus was crucified, He was crucified between two criminals. Although Jesus Himself was not a criminal, I am sure that those who did not know Jesus Christ automatically judged Him and thought of Him as being a criminal as a result of association.
This is the same thing people try to do with the World Mission Society Church of God and Christ Ahnsahnghong. They speak about the Unification Church and Sun Myung Moon, then they say that the World Mission Society Church of God and Christ Ahnsahnghong must be the same since it started in South Korea.
In reality, there are absolutely no similarities in the teachings of the World Mission Society Church of God and the Unification Church. The Unification Church teaches principles that do not come from the Bible, as per their official website:
“Sun Myung Moon studied the Bible and many other religious teachings in order to unravel these mysteries of life and human history.”
The World Mission Society Church of God and the teachings of Christ Ahnsahnghong come strictly from the Bible and nothing else. The Unification Church keeps Sunday service, Christmas and all other teachings that do not come from the Bible. The World Mission Society Church of God keeps the Passover and the Sabbath of the New Covenant just as Jesus taught 2,000 years ago.
So instead of judging by standards of association with other religious groups, why don’t you try to understand Christ like the disciples did 2,000 years ago?
How did the disciples recognize Jesus 2,000 years ago?
John 4:41-42 – “And because of his words many more became believers. They said to the woman, ‘We no longer believe just because of what you said; now we have heard for ourselves, and we know that this man really is the savior of the world.’”
2,000 years ago, the first thing people considered was His teachings. It was because of His teachings that the people believed He was the savior of the world. What was the second thing they considered?
John 1:44-45 – “Philip, like Andrew and Peter, was from the town of Bethsaida. Philip found Nathanael and told him, ‘We have found the one Moses wrote about in the Law, and about whom the prophets also wrote – Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.’”
The second thing the disciples considered was how Jesus fulfilled all the prophecies of the Old Testament. Then it was because of His teachings and the prophecies He fulfilled that the disciples were able to recognize Jesus Christ as the Savior.
In the same way, it is because of what He taught and the prophecies He fulfilled that I believe Christ Ahnsahnghong is the second coming of Christ – not because of what people say about Him or by how popular He is.
From my research, I can confidently say that there are no similarities between the Unification Church and the World Mission Society Church of God.

The one question I always wondered was how come there are so many different denominations in one Religion who believe in one Bible. When I realize how Jesus saved His people 2,000 years ago through the New Covenant Passover, it allowed me to understand that even at that time He taught what He will do when He comes a second time to the earth to bring salvation (Heb9:28, Jn14: 26). Christ Ahnsahnghong fulfilled everything through the Bible according to Jesus’ words!

Christ Ahnsahnghong is the savior of this age according to the bible. All his teachings are bible based, and are not man made traditions or teachings. We can not compare Christ Ahnsahnghong and WMSCOG to other religious groups in Korea, just because they come from the same country. Only through the teachings and
how prophecies are fulfilled can we distinguish the truth from the falsehood. -
If we consider the Bible as a book of prophecy, the legitimate word of God, we will not lean towards associating Christ Ahnsahnghong and the World Mission Society Church of God with the Unification Church because we can clearly see that the Bible teaches to keep the Sabbath (Saturday), the Passover and the other feasts of God which is what the World Mission Society Church of God keeps.

I’m so thankful to Father and Mother for opening up my eyes. It is truly amazing how short sighted some people can be. I’ve even seen someone try to compare the Church of God to the Unification Church, but whenever looking at Unification Church videos the members seemed so miserable. However in the Church of God videos all of the members were so happy and vibrant. You can tell that all of the members of the WMSCOG know we have salvation because we are always joyful and thankful to Elohim God. I can not stop praising Father and Mother for bringing me out of the darkness and into the light.

The Bible is the best way to recognize Christ. If we try to determine who Christ is based off of our feelings or our own thoughts and not the Bible we will not be able to know who he is. Christ Ahnsahnghong fulfilled all the prophecies about second coming Christ that are in the Bible and this is why I believe he is the second coming Christ.

I think it is amazing that people never appreciate it when they are generalized by false associations but are so quick to do the same thing to others. As stated above, the same thing that happened to Christ 2,000 years ago will happen again in this age. I am thankful to Father and Mother to see the prophecies being fulfilled even through those who slander. If Christ Ahnsahnghong were not God then there would be no need for people to dispute the teachings that come directly from the Bible. But because he is God, ultimately the devil will control those who belong to him so that they make rash generalizations about the Church of God just because it started in Korea (according to prophecy, might I add).
Coming to such conclusions have been wrong throughout all time, especially when considering the crucifixion. Jesus had done nothing wrong, but according to prophecy he had to be assigned a grave with the wicked in order that we may know he is the Christ. Even though many people try to associate my Father Christ Ahnsahnghong in the same way, I will NEVER give up my faith due to rude comments or false associations with other churches. Nothing that is said can take away the truth of Passover, Sabbath, or the 7 feasts in 3 times. Nor can it change the fact that my God sacrificed him self for 37 years just to take this sinner back to her true home. All glory, honor, thanks, and praises are to the Elohim God of true love, Father Ahnsahnghong and heavenly Mother.

According to John 5:39, the way to correctly recognize Christ is through the scriptures. If our belief is based on assumptions, we may fail to recieve Christ. People “assumed” Jesus was a criminal 2000 years ago because He was crucified like a criminal. In the same way, now people make assumptions about the WMSCOG and Christ Ahnsahnghong because the church was founded in Korea like the Unification church. However, instead of assuming both churches have the same teachings, we should study the scriptures in order to get a correct understanding. Only then can we understand that the WMSCOG is the church that was founded by God Himself.

To speak ill of Christ Ahnsahnghong because of false surrounding churches in the same country is like saying, because the terrorists who bombed the twin towers are from the middle east than Barack Obama (the U.S. president) is a terrorist because his name sounds middle eastern.
John 4:41-42 and John 1:44 perfectly describe how to know who Christ Jesus is without judging him based on whom he associated with. They let you know to understand his words so you know what he teaches is actually according to God’s administration and understand that he is the one who is prophesied so you know who the savior is in order for YOU to go to heaven.
If you can apply that method to the first coming of Christ apply that to the second coming Christ Ahnsahnghong and you’ll understand he is God when you hear his words and the prophesies he has fulfilled.

I was actually thinking along the same lines regarding the comparison you made in your comment…
We are all aware of the common expression ‘Do not compare apples and oranges’, which simply states we should refrain from comparing matters that are not comparable. This is the first thought that comes to mind when studying about the inaccurate comparison of the World Mission Society Church of God and God Himself, Christ Ahnsahnghong with any religious organization, namely the Unification Church and the false prophet Sun Myung Moon. To base an opinion or associate the two merely on their origins in South Korea is erroneous and offensive. It is as to say since the Unabomber is from America, therefore all Americans are homicidal terrorists. Or to say that because Jesus Barabbas was a heinous criminal, all men named Jesus at the time were monstrous murderers, which clearly Jesus Christ was not! Despite how silly such comparisons seem to us, these types of associations are made ignorantly each day. Sadly, people are mistaken and have compared true God and the church He has established in these last days according to Bible prophesy with a false church. I say ‘sadly’ because how severe the consequences will be on the Last Day and how deep the grief will be of those who did not take the time to study the Scriptures that lead to Christ (John 5.39).
The differences between the two are as clear as light and dark, day and night, pure and contaminated, healthy and diseased, and life and death! This is undoubtedly seen when a brief analysis of the teachings are undertaken of each; the WMSCOG follows the commands of God and the teachings of the Bible, while the Unification Church does not, even admitting so on their official website.
Although on the surface the two look just like two churches of different doctrine, there is a much deeper understanding to be acquired in order to discern truth from falsehood. Any and all churches that do not keep the commands of God and put into practice the teachings of Christ are false! Naively people judged Jesus and the Early Church as heretics and blasphemers, yet as we all know now He is God Almighty our Savior. But have you ever come to question how it is that the Early Church understood this deep necessity of our spiritual life? Were they just able to know or had they understood through a particular action? Surely God chose the disciples AND they had studied the Scriptures… that was how they were able to see that Jesus of Nazareth was God Almighty prophesied to come into this world and save us sinners (John 1.44). They believed in the words of the Bible, they saw Jesus fulfill many prophesies just as testified throughout the Scrolls, and they kept the teachings He taught according to the word of God. In the same way, the WMSCOG members know Christ Ahnsahnghong is God Almighty because of the teachings He left us and all the prophecies He fulfilled. As we study the Scriptures, just as the Early Church, we have a deeper understanding of God’s mighty power and merciful redemption plan. We humble ourselves and give unto His will, which leads to salvation. There are no similarities between any false church such as the Unification Church and the true church established by Christ Ahnsahnghong, the World Mission Society Church of God.

I’m very glad to be part of the WMSCOG that has been established by Christ Ahnsahnghong. It’s a shame that people are linking the Church of God with other churches that do not keep the New Covenant established by Jesus Christ. It’s not very difficult to see that the unification church is completely different from the Church of God; just look at the teachings. The Church of God follows the teachings that came directly from the mouth of Jesus Christ, and we keep the regulations of the New Covenant that Christ kept as an example for us to follow (Jn 13:15). The unification church keeps teachings from a myriad of different religions, committing lawlessness in God’s eyes. Anyone who says the Church of God is “similar” or “like” the unification church just because they were both started in Korea is ignorant. Thanks be to God for re-establishing the Church of God in these days according to bible prophecy.

Wow its so true history does repeat itself. Ahnsahnghong truly is God because only God can fulfill bible prophecies.

I truly give thanks to Father and Mother for opening up our eyes to see and realize everything. We shouldn’t be ignorant when it comes to the Bible. Christ testifies cleary in the Bible regarding his 2nd coming and where he will appear in a far off land in the east. We cannot deny what the Bible says at all. Father Christ Ahnsahnghong came to South Korea and reestablished his laws and opened up the Church of God which is the same exact Church he established 2,000 with His own Blood. But what is his purpose? His whole purpose is to bring his children to the Kingdom of Heaven to where we will have Eternal Life. So we cannot confuse the Church of God with a church that keeps teachings that are not in the Bible. Unification church as was explained before keeps the teachings of christmas, Sunday worship etc. So therefore the unification church and World Mission Society Church of God are not associated with each other in any type of way. If you want to know about the true teachings in the Bible please come to your nearest World Mission Society Church of God and I guarantee that you will see that all these ridiculous accusations that people make against the Church of God is false. Please come study the Bible so you may receive Eternal Life :-).

I studied Psychology and I hate the whole idea of associations. Being black doesn’t help either because associations turn into stereotypes. I love this article because they profess the truth of Father so well and bold. I need to be more like this when I tell others that I’ve found the Savior of the last age. Christ Ahnsahnghong came, fulfilled prophecies, and even testified about Himself. I love Father and Mother, and thank Them for bringing the truth to this dark and gloomy world.

It is so important to understand not from an outside view point but an inside view point. Judging from the outside is only going to lead to you confusion and incorrect associations. When Jesus was crucified 2,000 ago along with two other criminals, everything that happened, was for a purpose and teach us, and He had to fulfill what the prophecy said in the Bible. But for those who didn’t know Jesus would put Him in the category of a criminal even though He was not a criminal. According to Jesus words “You are in error because you do knot know the Scriptures or the power of God”(Mt 22:29). He died for our sins meaning it should have been us that died we are the spiritual criminals. It is the same now in this age, World Mission Society Church of God’s teaching started from the east as according to Bible prophecy, also the angel that comes from the east will bring the seal of the living God (Rev 7:1). Christ Ahnsahnghong who came from the east from S. Korea, has brought us the New Covenant Passover which means He is God in the flesh, Second coming Christ. If we just base our judgement off from the location by its-self we will never fully understand God and the truth. Only through prophecies and Gods words/teachings are what opens are spiritual eyes to understand the truth. I thank God Elohim for allowing me to understand and see through my spiritual eyes.

The love of God is truly amazing, Our Heavenly Father Christ Ahnsahnghong and Heavenly Mother separates from other churches. Jesus Christ allowed us to recognize the TRUE church by first setting an example through the disciple by allowing them to understand who their Savior was through the teaching and prophecies only through the Bible. So it is definitely wrong to compare The World Mission Society Church of God to the Unification Church. Again, I want to thank God Elohim for this Article I am now able to help people understand the teachings Christ taught so that the rest of God’s children will be lead to the True Church. I myself have come to understand about Christ Ahnsahnghong through the bible. Just as the article says, we can’t understand about Christ just from what people say, but through the bible we can truly understand abut our savior who has come a second time. The only church that goes by the teachings of Christ even to day is the World Mission Society Church of God, as other churches keep Sunday worship, Easter, and other pagan practices, the Church of God founded by the second coming Christ Ahnsahngong keeps the teaching of the bible that Jesus and his disciples also keep as there custom. I hope everyone who reads this will be more encouraged to come and study the bible at the World Mission Society Church of God, that they may understand about Christ Ahnsahnghong and the commandments of God, through the bible.
