Christ Ahnsahnghong – Guilty by Association
Christ Ahnsahnghong and the fallacy of guilt by association
Many of the websites that speak negatively about Christ Ahnsahnghong and the World Mission Society Church of God use the same logic, that logic is “guilty by association.” Guilt by association is defined as an inductive informal fallacy, which is also known as a hasty generalization. Pretty much, if it quacks like a duck and walks like a duck, it’s a duck, and anything that comes from that same country, is also a duck! This fallacy is made as an appeal to emotion and is not based on facts.
Some examples of guilt by association are as follows:
- Peter is a criminal. Peter is from California. Therefore, all the people from California are criminals.
- Tom, John, Chris, and Will are all friends of Ray, and they are all corrupt politicians. Tammy is a friend of Ray. Therefore, Tammy is a corrupt politician.
2,000 years ago Jesus was a victim of this fallacy. When Jesus was crucified, He was crucified between two criminals. Although Jesus Himself was not a criminal, I am sure that those who did not know Jesus Christ automatically judged Him and thought of Him as being a criminal as a result of association.
This is the same thing people try to do with the World Mission Society Church of God and Christ Ahnsahnghong. They speak about the Unification Church and Sun Myung Moon, then they say that the World Mission Society Church of God and Christ Ahnsahnghong must be the same since it started in South Korea.
In reality, there are absolutely no similarities in the teachings of the World Mission Society Church of God and the Unification Church. The Unification Church teaches principles that do not come from the Bible, as per their official website:
“Sun Myung Moon studied the Bible and many other religious teachings in order to unravel these mysteries of life and human history.”
The World Mission Society Church of God and the teachings of Christ Ahnsahnghong come strictly from the Bible and nothing else. The Unification Church keeps Sunday service, Christmas and all other teachings that do not come from the Bible. The World Mission Society Church of God keeps the Passover and the Sabbath of the New Covenant just as Jesus taught 2,000 years ago.
So instead of judging by standards of association with other religious groups, why don’t you try to understand Christ like the disciples did 2,000 years ago?
How did the disciples recognize Jesus 2,000 years ago?
John 4:41-42 – “And because of his words many more became believers. They said to the woman, ‘We no longer believe just because of what you said; now we have heard for ourselves, and we know that this man really is the savior of the world.’”
2,000 years ago, the first thing people considered was His teachings. It was because of His teachings that the people believed He was the savior of the world. What was the second thing they considered?
John 1:44-45 – “Philip, like Andrew and Peter, was from the town of Bethsaida. Philip found Nathanael and told him, ‘We have found the one Moses wrote about in the Law, and about whom the prophets also wrote – Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.’”
The second thing the disciples considered was how Jesus fulfilled all the prophecies of the Old Testament. Then it was because of His teachings and the prophecies He fulfilled that the disciples were able to recognize Jesus Christ as the Savior.
In the same way, it is because of what He taught and the prophecies He fulfilled that I believe Christ Ahnsahnghong is the second coming of Christ – not because of what people say about Him or by how popular He is.
From my research, I can confidently say that there are no similarities between the Unification Church and the World Mission Society Church of God.

once we study the bible we can see that Christ Ahnsahnghong is true God. We have to understand about Christ Ahnsahnghong the same way the disciples did 2,000 years ago, that is, through the scriptures. We should definitely not listen to a man or a church that doesn’t even keep the teaching from the bible. Only through studying the scripture and understanding the will of God can we come to know who true God is in these last days.

We make generalizations for everything and base many of our thinking on past experience or common general knowledge, but how can we generalize Christ or the Church that He bought with His own blood? Among billions of people on Earth, the Bible prophesized God would come in human likeness for our salvation. Now when people hear the news about Christ Ahnsahnghong and the World Mission Society Church of God coming from Korea, automatically they think its just like the moonies. Christ Ahnsahnghong came from South Korea as it was prophesized in the scriptures but not to be compared with Sun Myung Moon. Coming from the East is just one point about the second coming Christ, but there are so many prophecies about second coming Christ that we need to know to realize Christ and not generalize Him. Let’s understand and receive Christ Ahnsahnghong through the eyes of the prophecies!

As Christians we believe in God in the flesh and follow Gods teachings right? As we know only God can give us eternal life, no god or man can give eternal life. So we should not follow other teachings or beliefs such as Christmas or Sunday service but truly follow the teachings that Christ gave us. So clearly the World Mission Society Church of God is not guilty by association because we follow ALL the teachings of Christ in the bible such as the Sabbath and Passover. The World Mission Society Church of God is also not guilty by association because we recognize true Almighty God. How do we recognize Christ Ahnsahnghong and heavenly Mother as True God? It is because the bible testifies about Them (Rev 22:17) So please study the scriptures and recognize True God to receive eternal life.

Now a days we are seeing that many people who have been falsely accused of crimes are being released from prison. They ended up being sent to prison being falsely accused of a crime not because of truth but because of false accusations brought about by their prosecutors, being judged falsely by a group of peers called a jury. This is why now in these days many courts are making sure that those who are called to jury duty have no bias or personal background relating to the case, that may lead them to make an emotional decision as well as lead others to make an emotional decision based on their own personal experience rather than a logical decision based on the facts of the case.
In the same way now a day’s we must not base our decision of 2nd coming Christ on a generalization or stereotypes but based on facts and prophecies. When it comes to our salvation what leads us to make a correct decision about God are the prophecies in the Bible and their fulfillment in the world, John 5:39. According to the Bible, 2nd Coming Christ will come from South Korea, he will come in 1948 and he will bring us the truth of salvation which is the Passover. The one who fulfilled these prophecies and much much more is Christ Ahnsahnghong and it is because of his teachings and the prophecies that he fulfilled that we know that he is true 2nd Coming Christ who was prophesied to come. So just as a judge makes his decision on all the facts, come to your nearest WMSCOG and study all the prophecies about 2nd coming christ through the bible before coming to a final decision. -
I can only imagine 2,000 years ago when Jesus was crucified on the cross. People at that time who didn’t know Christ must have associated Him with a criminal because He was crucified in between two criminals. Not knowing that Christ was God Almighty, they assumed He was a criminal just by looking at Him physically. We all know that Christ wasn’t a criminal at all. 2,000 years ago, the way the disciples knew He was Christ was that He fulfilled all the prophecies of the Old Testament (John 1:44-45) and they believed all the teachings He taught. The same situation is happening now. People are associating the World Mission Society Church of God with the Unification Church because they both started in South Korea. Our mindset as humans is to associate certain groups together because they might outwardly look similar. The only way we can truly recognize Christ is through the teachings in the Bible. The World Mission Society Church of God does that exactly. They teach directly all of God’s teachings from the Bible. We should not be like the Jews 2,000 years ago and reject Christ but accept Him fully by studying the Bible and the prophecies just like the disciples.

How do you think people would react to their savior being on death row, facing the electric chair? Who would confidently proclaim him as their God? It was the same thing 2,000 years ago. Just because he was accused and crucified just like a criminal, the scriptures say otherwise. I believe Christ Ahnsahnghong and heavenly Mother are God because the scriptures say so, not because I believe in someone’s judgment.

Father Christ Ahnsahnghong and The World Mission Society Church of God are nothing like other churches never the less a cult. What harm has this Church done?? What false teachings from the Bible are there?? NON!! Every word and action the WMSCOG does is from God and for others. Truly love. Even stereotyping people is looked down upon in the world, then why is this an exception, It shouldn’t be. Father and the WMSCOG are from Korea is a part of prophecy, therefore even more truth.

It is very narrow minded thinking to assume 2 churches are the same because they come from the same country. The Unification Church is based on the teachings of Sun Myung Moon which include many other religious teachings besides The Bible which we know is the true teachings of God. That is far too great a generalization. That would be like saying Jesus Christ was a criminal because he was crucified along side 2 criminals. Jesus Christ was not a criminal and the WMSCOG is not associated with or similar in any way to the Unification Church. The WMSCOG is based solely on the word of God. The church is not influenced by society’s beliefs. It does not change on a whim to become and remain popular. The goal of everyone in the WMSCOG is to go to Heaven, not to win a popularity contest. I urge you if you are reading this. Do not prejudge the WMSCOG based on someone else’s opinion. Come and study and hear the true word of God!.

I find it very disrespectful for this kind of comparison to be made, in the bible there’s s passage that says by their fruit you will recognize them…good trees(WMSCOG) bears good fruit(truth of the bible), bad trees bear bad fruit (Matt 7:16-20). We should not forget the truth is hidden where there’s falsehood.

When I read this article is and I saw the example of Peter who was a criminal from California and everyone from California are criminals it sounds like stereotyping. This occurs all the time when classifying a certain race or group just because one person does something. This is the type of society we live in now especially with the age of the internet everyone goes to the internet first and see other views and opinions without first themselves looking into it. The example of Christ crucified next to two criminal is a great example of that. If someone does not know anything about Jesus at that time and is seeing everyone hurl insults at Him they would think He is just like them. That is why it is always important to investigate or search something first without making conclusions right away.

“Guilty by association” is something that happens everywhere and everyday. The major factor on being judge by this concept is that you must ASSOCIATE with the one they are judging you by. Being a member of the WMSCOG, I can say that we have no association or correlation with the Unification Church. To use this broad notion to examine a church is very dull. You can’t come to a conclusion about anything or anyone just by the exterior. To get to know someone better, don’t you meet with them and hangout? To know if a restaurant is good or not, don’t you first have to check it out yourself? With the WMSCOG come learn deep studies about our savior, 2CC Christ Ahnsahnghong who restored all the truth in this age, all the truth that is found straight from the bible.

Moon’s beliefs and theories blend Bible-based Christianity with Eastern philosophies like Confucianism and Korean folk religions. The Bible clearly teaches not to add or subtract from it and not to follow false religions, including ones with which Moon uses in his doctrines. The Church of God stands firm on following the teaching of the Bible, not to add or subtract from it How then, can these churches be compared when at a basic level, their doctrines are fundamentally different? It is like comparing the religions of Islam and Christianity, based on the premise that both of the religious texts (The Quran and the Bible) have a few of the same Scriptures (the beginning of the Old Testament). No one would claim this, but insist that the religions are very different, including any believer of these religions. Then, how could one insist that the WMSCOG and Unification Church are the same just based on their country of origin? It is nonsense.

It is only through the prophecies that we can recognize Christ. So without studying the bible we cannot differentiate between what is true or false. I hope through this article more people will have an open mind and come to see for themselves-there’s really nothing to lose and everything to gain!

There can be a fake Nike sneaker only because there is the real Nike sneaker brand then in the same way there will be false teachings because there is the true teaching. This article clears out that Ahnsahnghong is the true Christ who built the true church because of the prophecies. The Unification church is basing their beliefs in a man that testifies himself to be the prophet sent, but yet Ahnsahnghong came in secret and never directly said he was the Christ that was sent but only through his teachings we can see he is the Christ that has come the same way that Jesus did 2,000 years ago when he came.

I agree 110 percent with this article we can’t associate the WMSCOG and Christ Ahnsahnghong with the Unification Church and Sun Myung Moon. Why do I say this? Because if you ask them if we are the same as their church they will say no or if you yourselves go and actually study with them just by you associating with them you will see their teaching is not similar in any way to ours. In this world we make hasty judgements about a person who is associating with someone without even knowing the person. We should try to know a person before making judgments like that. In the same way without you yourself visiting the WMSCOG how can you know who Christ Ahnsahnghong is and make a right judgement.
