Christ Ahnsahnghong – Guilty by Association
Christ Ahnsahnghong and the fallacy of guilt by association
Many of the websites that speak negatively about Christ Ahnsahnghong and the World Mission Society Church of God use the same logic, that logic is “guilty by association.” Guilt by association is defined as an inductive informal fallacy, which is also known as a hasty generalization. Pretty much, if it quacks like a duck and walks like a duck, it’s a duck, and anything that comes from that same country, is also a duck! This fallacy is made as an appeal to emotion and is not based on facts.
Some examples of guilt by association are as follows:
- Peter is a criminal. Peter is from California. Therefore, all the people from California are criminals.
- Tom, John, Chris, and Will are all friends of Ray, and they are all corrupt politicians. Tammy is a friend of Ray. Therefore, Tammy is a corrupt politician.
2,000 years ago Jesus was a victim of this fallacy. When Jesus was crucified, He was crucified between two criminals. Although Jesus Himself was not a criminal, I am sure that those who did not know Jesus Christ automatically judged Him and thought of Him as being a criminal as a result of association.
This is the same thing people try to do with the World Mission Society Church of God and Christ Ahnsahnghong. They speak about the Unification Church and Sun Myung Moon, then they say that the World Mission Society Church of God and Christ Ahnsahnghong must be the same since it started in South Korea.
In reality, there are absolutely no similarities in the teachings of the World Mission Society Church of God and the Unification Church. The Unification Church teaches principles that do not come from the Bible, as per their official website:
“Sun Myung Moon studied the Bible and many other religious teachings in order to unravel these mysteries of life and human history.”
The World Mission Society Church of God and the teachings of Christ Ahnsahnghong come strictly from the Bible and nothing else. The Unification Church keeps Sunday service, Christmas and all other teachings that do not come from the Bible. The World Mission Society Church of God keeps the Passover and the Sabbath of the New Covenant just as Jesus taught 2,000 years ago.
So instead of judging by standards of association with other religious groups, why don’t you try to understand Christ like the disciples did 2,000 years ago?
How did the disciples recognize Jesus 2,000 years ago?
John 4:41-42 – “And because of his words many more became believers. They said to the woman, ‘We no longer believe just because of what you said; now we have heard for ourselves, and we know that this man really is the savior of the world.’”
2,000 years ago, the first thing people considered was His teachings. It was because of His teachings that the people believed He was the savior of the world. What was the second thing they considered?
John 1:44-45 – “Philip, like Andrew and Peter, was from the town of Bethsaida. Philip found Nathanael and told him, ‘We have found the one Moses wrote about in the Law, and about whom the prophets also wrote – Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.’”
The second thing the disciples considered was how Jesus fulfilled all the prophecies of the Old Testament. Then it was because of His teachings and the prophecies He fulfilled that the disciples were able to recognize Jesus Christ as the Savior.
In the same way, it is because of what He taught and the prophecies He fulfilled that I believe Christ Ahnsahnghong is the second coming of Christ – not because of what people say about Him or by how popular He is.
From my research, I can confidently say that there are no similarities between the Unification Church and the World Mission Society Church of God.

Everything done in the World Mission Society Church of God is from the Bible. The prophecy says the Spirit will testify to Jesus and rebuild the Early Church (Jn14:26). The practices of the Unification Church are not teachings from Jesus, thus they do not fulfill God’s plan as found in the Bible. People can say whatever they want about who God is and how we should worship, but if it isn’t backed up by the Bible then it is has no relevance or truth.

Is Sunday worship from God? Absolutely not. Then all the churches that keep Sunday worship are guilty by association. They do not keep the commands of God nor do they follow in the footsteps of God. 1John 2:3
How can the church that follows the teachings of Christ be wrong. Sabbath-Saturday is true. Passover of the New covenant is true, God the Mother is true. A good tree only bears good fruit. Christ Ahnsahnghong is that tree. He is God almighty whom the bible and all the prophets testify about.

People mistakenly confuse the World Mission Society Church of God and the Unification Church simply because they both started in South Korea, however, they are completely different. All the teachings from the Church of God, like the Sabbath, Passover and the Feasts of God come from the Bible, whereas the Unification Church practices Sunday worship and Christmas, things that aren’t in the Bible. Church of God is the same church established by Jesus Christ 2,000 years ago since we follow the same exact teachings. It’s false to associate Church of God and the Unification Church simple because they come from the same country. The only way to recognize the true church where the Savior has come is by seeing the prophecies and teachings in the Bible.

This article is really helpful. Many people judge off the very limited or completely nonexistent knowledge they have. Through studying the Bible, all questions can be answered. We cant just create our own answer because we think it sounds good. Or deny the true answer because it doesn’t sound good. If we believe the Bible to be true, then we will believe in the one whom it testifies about. Christ Ahnsahnghong is truly our Savior who has come into the world a second time to restore the truth and open the way to salvation!

If you grew up in the same town as Hitler or went to the same school as Hitler would it be fair to you if just for those reasons I chose to treat you like a murderer responsible for the death of millions? Of course not.
What if you grew up in the same home and even related, same facial features and same blood, is it fair then to convict you? Nope, I didn’t think so.
I cant tell anyone what to believe in or what church to attend however, it is clear that this logic for going against WMSCOG and Ahnsahnghong is completely baseless and comes off as if someone is reaching just to have something to argue about.

People should remember that every time you point the finger, you have 3 more pointing back at you. We hate to be judged by others; then how can we mere mortals judge the creator based on physical characteristics. As Apostle John said, John 7:24, stop judging by mere appearances and make a right judgement. Lets study more with the WMSCOG to know who God is through the Bible.

By reading this article you can see that whoever says that the WMSCOG and the Unification Church are the same clearly has no knowledge of what the WMSCOG teaches. The example “if it quacks like a duck and walks like a duck, it’s a duck” is a perfect example to prove that the WMSCOG has no similarities to the Unification Church. They are completely different churches and the teachings of Christ Ahnsahnghong and Sun myung moon as well are completely different teachings. So that means that they are not the same.

This article is very eye opening because many of us are so quick to make assumptions without a thorough examination or investigation. I know that there are many churches in this world that label themselves as God’s church—the Church of God, because according to the bible, it is the church that God established (Acts 20:28), but we can find that those churches do not follow what God( who they claim established their church) says!!! We can see them keeping Sunday worship, communion, and the rest of the holidays that are nowhere to be found in the bible.
However the World Mission Society Church of God truly is established by God for I see them keeping the Sabbath (Saturday), the Passover and the Feast of God in the bible. And they proclaim about the Spirit and the bride (Rev. 22:17) as the Saviors in the Last Days and that is true, how can they be labeled with those churches that deny the power of God (God’s commandments)?? No way!!! They are not the same as those churches!!! Come see for yourself!!! The World Mission Society Church of God truly does what God says!!!! Please come see for yourself. -
It’s sad to say this, however, unfortunately this is how people in society function, by generalizing everyone and everything. I’m glad this article was able to confirm that the WMSCOG and the Unification Church are completely different. The World Mission Society Church of God’s teachings are 100% from the bible unlike the Unification Church and Sun Myung Moon who follow their own teachings by gathering information from other religions who do not follow the bible, ie. sunday worship and Christmas. First coming Christ was crucified next to criminals even though He’s God, he was called a glutton and walked with tax collectors (Luke 7:34), but that did not take away the fact that He is God. No matter what it is being said we must believe what the bible testifies, and most importantly we must believe in our saviors in this age, Christ Ahnsahnghong and Heavenly Mother.

How weird is that people compare the Unification Church with the Chruch of God just because they both started from Korea,what about the couple hundred denominations that started in the US? How should we generalize them? We can’t even apply “guilty by association” in our daily lives, definitely we cant apply it when it comes to God

The Unification Church and Sun Myung Moon don’t follow the bible , they keep man made teachings .
The World Mission Society Church of God keeps the Passover (luke 22:13-14) and the Sabbath (luke 4:16) of the New Covenant just as Jesus taught 2,000 years ago. John 13:15 I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you.
World Mission Society Church of God follows the bible and keep God’s commands and Feast of God, completely different teachings than the Unification Church -
Just because the WMSCOG and the Unification church came from the same country, doesn’t mean that they are the same Church. First off the names are totally different and teachings are not the same. WMSCOG keeps the teachings of the Bible such as Passover and all of Gods Feast (Lev 23). Unification church worships on Sunday & their teachings are not in the Bible. (John 5:9) The Scriptures testify about Christ and that’s why I firmly believe in Christ Ahnsahnghong because he fulfilled all the bible prophecies. Christ Ahnsahnghong always proved himself through the scriptures. The fact that Christ Ahnsahnghong brought the Passover and all the Feast of God, proves that he is God.

When you actually look at the bible and study it; you understand there are two types of people. There are those who see the scriptures and believe, such people are called disciples of God because just like 2,000 years ago, they believed in the bible and accepted the teaching of God, and for that reason, they are now rejoicing with God in the K.O.H. However, there is a group of people, that even though the bible testifies about the savior, they think they know more than God and in order to interfere with Gods’ administration, they start making incoherent comparisons and false associations with organizations that have made up teachings and are not biblical at all. These kind of people are called Pharisees; they belong to the category of unbelievers and accusers of God. Where are they now? Definitely NOT rejoicing with God in the K.O.H

Conflicts and misunderstandings come from this mindset: a quick opinion about someone or something people have no idea about. I have definitely fallen victim to believing the popular yet untruthful opinion of others, rather than finding out the facts for myself. I want to challenge myself to be above that school of thinking. I want to know first hand the facts about WMSCOG from the WMSCOG itself. I want to know who God the Father and God the Mother are, not from secondhand opinions of anonymous bloggers who don’t have hope for heaven, but from the prophets and men of God who have a hope for the Kingdom of Heaven, and who work hard to realize the goal of their faith.

It seems to me that certain people are trying to find any reason to point the finger at WMSCOG, using any excuse in the book to make it look bad. It is indeed true that many self proclaimed ‘Christs’ have appeared in South Korea. It is like looking for a needle in a haystack.
The ONLY… and I’ll say it again… ONLY way that we can discern that Christ Ahnsahnghong is the true Christ is by the prophecies and teachings. These are the foundation of faith and to weed through which is true and false.
Simply put, if one does not follow the basic fundamentals of God’s commands such as the Sabbath and the Passover, he/she cannot even begin to judge and say who is and who isn’t the Second Coming Christ.
