WMSCOG a Religious Group in South Korea

Where was the WMSCOG founded?

When browsing the web, I came across an article that questioned the beliefs of the World Mission Society Church of God (WMSCOG) due to the fact that it started in South Korea. It’s ironic, but when you look into the Bible, the same thing was done to Jesus Christ 2,000 years ago:

John 1:45-46 “Philip found Nathanael and told him, ‘We have found the one Moses wrote about in the Law, and about whom the prophets also wrote – Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.’ ‘Nazareth! Can anything good come from there?’ Nathanael asked…”

As we see in the passage, even 2,000 years ago the people of Israel had a fixed concept about Nazareth and that made Nathanael judge and doubt the credibility of Jesus just because He was from there.

That is the same bias the article was trying to push on the reader regarding the WMSCOG and its founder. They even quote a Korean professor saying, “There are many gods and Jesus[es] in Korea.” This is true; there are many people in Korea who claim to be Second Coming Christ. Doesn’t that make you wonder why? I mean, South Korea is not even a historically Christian country – then why is this phenomena happening?

Imitations cannot exist without an authentic one

Well, let me answer that with an analogy: in today’s society, brand name items are very popular. You have brands like Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Gucci, and so on. These brands are so popular and so expensive that many imitations appear in the market. Now let me ask you a question: without a real Chanel bag, can there be imitations? Or if I say I have an imitation of a Louis Vuitton wallet, is that possible without a real Louis Vuitton wallet existing? No, that would be impossible.

Now why do so many people who claim to be Second Coming Christ appear in South Korea? The answer is simple: because the real Second Coming Christ must come from there. Let’s see:

Hebrews 9:28 “So Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many people; and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him.”

According to the Bible, Second Coming Christ must appear in the last days and bring salvation. Salvation literally means to save someone from harm. Then where does the salvation work start from in the last days?

Revelation 7:1-3 “After this I saw four angels standing at the four corners of the earth, holding back the four winds of the earth to prevent any wind from blowing on the land or on the sea or on any tree. Then I saw another angel coming up from the east, having the seal of the living God. He called out in a loud voice to the four angels who had been given power to harm the land and the sea: ‘Do not harm the land or the sea or the trees until we put a seal on the foreheads of the servants of our God.’”

Before the great disaster comes on the last day according to the Bible prophecy, the work of salvation must start from the east. The original language of the Bible’s New Testament, which is Greek, communicates the same directional point: “…from the rising of the sun…”

Now the question is, who is the savior from the east? And where is the east according to the Bible? That’s a topic for another discussion…

Is there any place in the world worthy of receiving God in the flesh? Not really. There is violence, hatred, and deception in every country, but the Bible says the Angel with the Seal of God will come from the east (Revelation 7)….so it’s only natural and expected that Christ should appear from a country in the FAR EAST. We cannot have preconceptions as to what we think God should be, we can’t put Him in a box.

When it comes to Christ, we have to narrow in and focus on things that make an impact affecting our future or we may fail to receive the gift of salvation that 2nd Coming Christ brings (Heb 9:28). Whether Korea is a world power or not is of no relevance to receiving eternal life. However if we want to consider popular recognition as a factor for examining Christ and the Church of God we should take into consideration that 2000’s years ago Jesus, was born in a simple manger in Bethlehem (Luke 2:6). His Birth was clearly in accordance with the prophecy of Micah. During Jesus life time Jewish society was divided into those who believed him to be the messiah understanding that Christ came as the testing stone and those who focused on his humble surroundings. Those who narrowed in on what was irrelevant rejected their savior and failed to receive salvation. In the same way Christ Ahnsahnghong came as the savior from the far off land in the East according to prophecy, we must not be the ones found to be a Modern Day Pharisee.

We’ve all wondered at some point how people can be so obtuse. But we must realize that this is just the way some people are. Movies like “Finding Forrester” and “Good will Hunting” depict this folly clearly. Good can come from anywhere if only we are willing to accept it.

Many good things and people come from S. Korea. Let us not judge a book by its cover.

No one would have given Israel a second look if it weren’t for Jesus Christ. But just like Christ put Israel on the map, Christ Ahnsahnghong now puts S. Korea on the map. S. Korea is prophesied in the bible. Please study and you will see.

This article proves just how Mighty and Merciful God is. God can come from anywhere if he chooses. God comes to bring sinners salvation so the location from where God chooses to bring it should not matter. We as people have a fixed concept about God however the Bible says, Jeremiah 51:17, every man is senseless and without knowledge. Meaning we cannot think we know God based on our own wisdom. We must read and study the Bible to know who God really is.

When I studied at WMSCOG about 2nd coming Christ and where this church was founded, I thought to myself, “out of all the places, why South Korea?”. I definitely did not want to make the same mistake the Jewish people made 2,000 years ago by denying Jesus Christ. After continuously studying the bible, I absolutely had no doubt at all! It is true that WMSCOG is the same exact church Jesus Christ established 2,000 years ago.
God said he will do all that HE pleases (Isaiah 46:10-11) and our thoughts are not his thoughts (Isaiah 55:8-9). If God says He will come from the east, from a far off land to bring salvation and rebuild the true church, then — why not? If God said so, then I cannot disagree. Even in Rev 1:9 John was on Patmos island and he saw 2nd Coming Christ coming directly from the east, that is in fact, S. Korea (Rev 7). There are many in Korea that claim to be 2nd coming Christ or the “true” church, but they never brought the truths of the bible! Christ Ahnsahnghong–whom established WMSCOG, is the only one that brought the Passover along with feast of God and all the truths of the bible. Therefore, I undoubtedly believe 100% that WMSCOG is the true church establish by God himself.

It’s sad that people are still so stuck in their ways and opinions that their eyes can’t be opened to receiving the Second Coming Christ. Instead of thinking with common sense, they have a fixed concept that they just won’t let go of. We can’t make the same mistake. We can’t be like the Israelites who denied the Savior 2,000 years ago because they were expecting Him to appear according to their plan.

Remember Hosea 4:6 – “My people are destroyed from lack of knowledge.”

As believers of God, the most joyful news to us should be the fact that God is coming to the earth, furthermore God has been so gracious to let us know where He will come from.
In the Old Testament times, the forefathers of faith did not have that luxury!!! Look at Abraham! God did not tell him where He would come from (Gen18:1),
yet they received God and His salvation.
How ungrateful have we become!!! God has allowed us to know from which direction He will come and that is South Korea, and the bible proves that!!!
Then as believers let us rejoice and be glad!
Christ Ahnsahnghong’s is the Second Coming Christ as He came from the East!!! Is it a problem that God The Creator comes from an Asian
country? From the East which He Himself created??? Really??
Do we not come to God for salvation? The bible testifies to the East, and as a believer of God, I will receive my Savior from there, and because it is specifically South Korea, then from there shall I receive The Savior.

I really like the analogy in this article, it makes perfect sense. To have an imitation means there has to be the original. The bible prophesied South Korea, but people refuse to believe. But what if Christ was to come from America, would that make a difference? would people believe then? We must study the bible and believe in it to come know our God. Our salvation depends on it. I hope the question now is Who is Christ Ahnsahnghong and how can I receive the salvation he brought, instead of why South Korea? No matter where Christ comes from if the bible testifies then it is truth.

  9. Guiliana

The bible prophesied about the Savior coming from the far of land in the east (Isa 46:10-13)bringing salvation to Zion, So is clear that second coming Christ will come in the flesh from South Korea bringing salvation (heb 9:28).So now how we can recognize the savior? where we can find salvation?(Isa 33:20) Look upon Zion, the city of our festivals: your eyes will see Jerusalem. Who ever brings salvation is the savior as 2000 years ago Jesus brought salvation through the Passover it is the same now , we can recognize our savior, Christ Ahnsahnghong established the Passover in 1948 bringing salvation to Zion, he fulfilled all the prophecies and established the festival that allows us to see Jerusalem (Gal 4:26) our Heavenly Mother.

There are many theories today as to where second coming Christ will come from. Many false Christs have appeared in countries such as America, Israel, Russia, and Puerto Rico. However most of the self-proclaimed second coming Christs come from South Korea. Then how are we to know which one is the true Second Coming Christ? Of course, we must rely on God’s word and find out through the Bible. The Bible proclaims many times that Second Coming Christ will come from the East (Isaiah 46:10, Revelation 7:2, etc.). The book of Isaiah was written in Israel and God gave John his revelation on the island of Patmos, so Second Coming Christ is prophesied to come from somewhere East of these two geographical locations. South Korea is a nation that fits this criteria, so how can one absolutely say that it is absurd for God to come in the flesh to South Korea of all places? We must study the Bible carefully and understand that Christ Ahnsahnghong and Heavenly Mother fulfill all the prophecies of where God will come to in the flesh in the age of the Holy Spirit.

  11. A'Yana Morgan

Does it really matter where the Second Coming Christ appeared? Shouldn’t we focus more of our attention on the fact that the bible states in Hebrews 9:28 that Christ will bring salvation at His second coming. Therefore what is the salvation and how can we attain it? If we put so much emphasis on the WMSCOG can’t be the true church because it’s founder came from South Korea, then we will not be able to have eternal life. 2,000 years ago the Pharisees and the Teachers of the law led people away from God because of their negative fixed concepts. In Matthew 9:9-13, Jesus Christ ate with people whom the Pharisees considered to be “sinners.” So the Pharisees believed that since Christ ate with “sinners” he was not the Messiah. They also led people to believe the same thing. But was that true? No Christ was indeed God, who came to seek and to save the sinners. Likewise we cannot say that the Second Coming Christ cannot come from South Korea. Instead we should study the prophecies concerning the second coming of Christ to see if in fact He is coming from South Korea.

  12. Magdalena P.

The fact that many false Christ’s are appearing from South Korea is evidence enough that TRUE Christ would appear from there also. More importantly, the Bible itself prophesied Christ would appear from the east to bring salvation. Why can’t people accept what was written and stop trying to doubt everything in the Bible? Does the fact that Christ Ahnsahnghong came from South Korea not make him Christ? If he appeared from a country other than Korea, would that make him the Christ? No! Regardless of where, what matters is what the prophecy in the Bible explains. Since the prophecy explains He will come from the east, we just need to believe the word of God and receive the Savior who came from the east bringing us salvation.

Isn’t it funny how people show their ‘faith’ by limiting God? As if some adonis with long flowing locks and perfectly groomed facial hair is going to float down over North America, claiming to be Christ….just before the golden hooves of his white horse gently touch the pavement.

What troubles you, O fellow Christians?
If Christ doesn’t show up the way you pictured it, will you not believe!?!

Well, don’t expect God to change his mind (…the bible’s never shown that).

    Then, what DOES it show????

Well, unfortunately, for the close-minded and stubborn of heart, the second coming of Christ will be as an ‘Asian’, just as sure as the sun in the sky means it’s ‘Daylight’!

And, in case you were wondering, a bunch of fake ANYTHING is basically a billboard-sized indication that the REAL whatever-it-is either EXISTS or EXISTED.

    It’s not food for thought….

    Just common sense.

This is not a matter of someone showing up like a celebrity or performing miracles. These things , frankly, should not even be a concern (otherwise we could crucify Criss Angel and David Copperfield and be ‘all-set’ in the forgiveness-of-sins department!).

What my concern is and what yours SHOULD BE is what the bible says about WHERE HE appears, so that You and I know where to begin to look!

Example, if the scriptures say ‘the Christ will appear in Brooklyn’, then get cab fare or a subway map…and GET there! If the bible says,’the Christ will appear in the Indo-west-pacific ocean, start taking scuba lessons and saving for a boat!

‘Just so happens that the bible does point out a location, decided upon since before God even told men what name to call upon! If you call yourself a believer in God(…the REAL one….in the BIBLE), then you need only ask for ‘understanding’ about this…

    But, truth be told:

According to the Bible, God went to Korea…and STAYED there!!

    ‘Nuff said…

I have definitely heard people automatically have a judgmental mind when they hear the Church was founded in Korea. But always the doubts go away when they realize the bible actually prophesies Christ coming from the East in the last Days. And even if we think about this: Nowadays it’s easy to believe in Christ because most of the world already accepted Him, but think about Jesus… He came from the Middle East. Where there is only war and violence now. Everyone still thinks so highly of the Messiah even though He came from the Middle East. There is nothing strange about this. However, people think it’s strange that we believe in 2nd Coming from the East. There is actually no sense in this! They only misjudge because they fear what they don’t know, which is normal human behavior and emotion. However, everything is written in the bible so I have confidence the world will come to believe in Christ AhnSahngHong once they see the prophesies. All they need to do is see and study the bible. Please study and you will have no doubt He is the true Christ.

Everything God does is to test the faith of his people. 2,000 years ago Jehovah was born in the flesh with the new name Jesus and that was a test for those living in Israel claiming to believe so much in their God. When God had come to them to save them through the new covenant Passover, instead of being accepted by His people, He was rejected, mocked and ridiculed. He was judged, not only for where he came from, but how he ate, spoke and the things he did. Also now when second coming Christ Ahnsahnghong has come to fulfill all bible prophesy concerning Him, the same thing is happenening. He is being judged for where he came from. Instead of looking at the circumstance and place he came from, we must believe the scriptures which, as mentioned in the above article, prove that second coming Christ will come the a far off land in the east, South Korea. Praise the name of God Ahnsahnghong who has come and restored the truth of the new covenant!
